The HP StorageWorks MSA Hub 2/3 is a low-cost interconnect designed for clustering or low cost, high speed attachment of two servers to the msa1000, an entry-level storage area network (SAN) solution. The MSA Hub 2/3 is a 3-port Fiber Channel Arbitrated Loop hub that is mounted on a blade that easily installs inside the msa1000 storage unit, saving valuable rack space. Two of these hubs may be installed for redundancy within the msa1000. The MSA Hub 2/3 is not cascadable. The hub presents the user with two SFP ports for simple direct attachment to two single or clustered servers without having to purchase an external interconnect device. It offers the most cost-effective solution for a user to enable a clustered server environment.
