Description

Deliver multilayer gigabit switching performance at the backbone with this 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4950. Supporting both copper and fiber connectivity, this switch provides a unique combination of high performance and media flexibility for a building or campus backbone, as well as for a server farm. This solution features Layer 2 switching functionality such as multicast filtering, virtual LANs, link aggregation, and RMON supports demanding applications. Transparent Web cache redirection enables Web traffic to be redirected automatically to a 3Com SuperStack 3 Webcache, easing administration. Layer 3 switching lets you exercise network control through IP routing and implement security policies on your networks using IP access lists.
